Last FM can do better than this!

I like listening to music on Last.fm you can add tracks to your favorites or ban them to better adjust your library of music to your taste. My only usability gripe so far is when you click login it cuts off the song you are listening to. It does not help that after a while of being inactive it logs you out. In order to add to your library you must wait until you don't care about a song to login because it cuts off the song to allow you to log in. After you login it starts a new song (not the same one) and it never seems to be as good as the one it cut off.

Inauguration Day

So many events to post on - a new year a new president and for many a new hope.

- Today the 44th president was sworn in. Greg and I watched during our lunch and were for the most part impressed. I don't think I made it through GW's speech.

- Aretha Franklin attempted to start a very horrific fashion trend with the oversized bow on her hat. (I wonder how I would look with that hat).

- The good thing the Sarah Palin look is out so all of those women who have perfect vision can take off their non vision correcting glasses.

- Mom and Dad were in town last weekend and got Haley a wagon. Sorry this one was important to me. Oh and even better - A cute vid of her dancing to Rock Band- showing off her two moves (squat and twirl).
From MLK weekend - Nana and Papi visited.

My nightmare voting experience

So this morning on my way to work I try to stop into the polls at 8:30 where I found a line wrapped around the building about 1/2 mile long. I found myself getting back in the car and continuing on to work.

Later at 1:30ish I go back, walk right in, no wait. Older gentleman (late 60's early 70's) asks me for my last name. "Hudson" I replied, "First name" he asks? "Corinne" I reply. Opens a page, as he was slowly reading down the list, I point there I am. Holding my voter registration card ready for when he asks. "Sign here" he says. I sign my name and he hands me a card. The next lady I approach asks me for the card the other man just gave me. I hand it to her, she hands me a ballot. So I walk to my booth just thinking nobody has verified my ID and I am voting how odd.

After I am done voting I take my ballot and folder to the machine. Another old gentleman informs me to slide my ballot in slowly. Enough time for anyone to read my ballot. I slide it in and he said that's it. I ask him, "how do you know that I just submitted my ballot, since nobody has looked at my photo ID?" He brings over a younger woman (20's I think) who is in charge of that polling location. I inform her that nobody has verified who I am since I have walked in the door and I just voted.

She immediately points over to the table where the ID check was supposed to be performed and asks me who I saw. I pointed and immediately she has him come over and blames him. I realize that he is just a nice old man volunteering and he gets upset saying he did check my ID. I informed him "no sir you did not, you asked my last name, I pointed to my name and address and you had me sign a piece of paper" I still have my voter reg card in hand which I pulled out when I walked in, you didn't even check that." I then pull the women in charge, explaining I am not trying to be difficult, but I wanted to make sure that everyone is checked and someone needs to supervise those guys and make sure they do so.

Err...Now I know that Florida really does have an issue with voting.
